May the road rise just enough to keep people from speeding up it because it wasn’t a cut through street when you moved here, and people are in a real rush nowadays.

May you have held onto your floral/plaid/check prints so when fashion winds blow them back, you don’t have to re-buy something you had 15 years ago.

May they still fit.

May you remember to wear SPF any time the sun shines on your face.

May you have your umbrella handy when the rain does not fall softly, but in sideways sheets driven by unrelenting wind that is only supposed to blow at your back, but is now blowing right in your face on the one day you did remember to wear sunscreen, and now it’s dripping in your eyes.

May you always have your reusable shopping bags on your person when you need bananas, bread and oat milk.

May you stop snickering every time you think about explaining oat milk to your younger self.

May you recall your worst hangover anytime you think “I can have just one cocktail,” on St. Patrick’s Day.
