Despite living in MA my whole life, I mostly honored family tradition by staying in one city/one beach as much as humanly possible, thereby encountering the same people over and over, like the plot of a soap opera. I am now elderly-adjacent and amok, so I take the T and drive my car and my ghost mother doesn't even know. So I ran Boston Parkrun a few years ago, and experienced the Emerald Necklace for the first time. I did not know any of this history, but I did keep stopping and taking pics, whilst having an internal dialogue with the magic, so thanks for the lesson. It all makes sense now. When Parkrun commences again, I will tell your boyfriend you said hi.
