I remember when the early model Roomba, which I received one Christmas, did this to me. We started out so well and I thought us partners in home flooring hygiene. Then one day it refused to leave its dock even when gently prodded. Finally coaxed out, it simply circled and whirred, acting like it knew nothing of its former duties. I've never trusted any robotic device again.
